Anthony Ronald Carbone

Anthony Ronald “Ron” Carbone, age 71, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away June 2, 2016, from complications due to Parkinson’s Disease. Ron was born August 19, 1944 in New Britain, Connecticut, to Guido and Philomena (Celella) Carbone. Ron attended Southington High School in Southington, Connecticut where he lettered in both baseball and football and was Student Council President. Upon graduation, Ron was appointed to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and was a member of the class of 1966. Ron also held a Master’s degree in Finance from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California.Throughout his life, Ron lived in Washington, California, Virginia, Alabama, and Texas. He was a Vietnam Veteran and retired as a Commander from the U.S. Coast Guard with 20 years of service. Ron lived in Johnson City with his wife, Patricia, for 20 years. He retired in 2000 from American Water Heater Company as Chief Financial Officer to travel and spend time with the love of his life, his wife, Patricia. Together they shared 48 years of marriage.





Ron is survived by his wife, Patricia Carbone, and their three children: Anthony Carbone and his wife, Debbie, of Livermore, California; Gina Carbone Nash and her husband David, of Sachse, Texas; and Christopher Carbone and his wife, Magnolia, of Yelm, Washington. Ron was a proud grandfather to Anthony Carbone, Catherine Nash, Joseph Carbone, Elizabeth Nash, Zola Carbone, Mary Clare Nash, Sophia Carbone, Michael Carbone and Gavin Carbone. Ron is also survived by his brothers David Carbone and Dino Carbone and brother-in-law, Robert Aldieri, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.





He was preceded in death by his parents, Guido and Philomena Carbone; son, Michael Carbone and sister, Marie Aldieri.





Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse, Texas. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Chapel in Sachse, Texas. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2016 at DFW National Cemetery in Grand Prairie, Texas.
