Anthony A. Ashley

Tony Ashley was born in Memphis Tennessee January 3, 1950, and grew up in Ashland, Mississippi. A resident of Wylie, TX, he stepped into glory on March 9, 2016 in Allen, TX after a courageous 3-year battle with cancer. Tony married the love of his life, Linda Lee, on August 16, 1968, and they are the proud parents of one son and three daughters. Their children have given them seven grandchildren that were so precious to him. He also loved many dogs over the years – his own as well as all of the grand dogs that his children have adopted.Tony moved with his family to Texas in 1982 and considered Texas his home. He spent 33 years in the automotive business working in parts & service departments of multiple dealerships. He started a swimming pool maintenance business in 2004, doing what he loved – fixing things. He had a knack for that…sometimes just a touch from him was all that was needed.He loved road trips – it didn’t matter where. He just loved to travel the back roads & see the sights. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family and cooking meals for the whole gang.Tony had an infectious smile and was always willing to lend a hand or his home to anyone in need. His pantry looked like a grocery store just in case someone might need something. His generosity and love of people still lives on in his children and grandchildren. What an awesome legacy for the many lives he has touched.
