Today we saw our first sunset without our loving Oma.
It really doesn't feel right when life continues to go on when it just ended for someone else. But love is stronger than death even though it can't stop death from happening. And no matter how hard death tries, it can't separate people from love. It can't take away our memories either. So in the end, life is stronger than death.
Today we said goodbye to our family matriarch. No matter if you were blessed to meet her and know her or only heard us talk about our beautiful Oma, she touched your life too. She was the one who taught me to never underestimate the importance of fine linens, good spices, and to never settle for less than the best bath soaps.
Her light shined to this world for a full 80 years - and her candle in our hearts will never go dim. More love than we can ever say to The Oma!
