Anna Theresa Henderson

Henderson, Anna Theresa, age 71, passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022. Anna was born in Maryland, the tenth of eleven children. She lived in many different states with her husband and children, finally settling in Richardson, TX in 1984. Anna was the person everyone loved to have at a party. She never met a stranger, and loved to hear stories of people's lives. Anna had many passions in life from playing bridge on Tuesday nights to shooting pool at her local bar. She also enjoyed camping and fishing, and was always happy when she hooked a big 'ol catfish. Anna's biggest passion in life was her family. She loved each of them with a fierceness, and anyone who felt her love knew what it was like to be loved through and through. She enjoyed cooking and making sure everyone had a drink and a full belly. Laughter and fun were never far from her.

Anna is preceded in death by her husband Mark Henderson, two sisters and five brothers. She is survived by her son, John DeButy, and daughter-in-law, Kristine DeButy, of Sachse, TX; son, Bill DeButy, of Dallas, TX; daughter, Helen Henderson Wetherbee, and daughter-in-law, Julie Wetherbee, of Pittsburgh, PA; grandsons John DeButy Jr., Tyler DeButy and Dylan DeButy of Sachse, TX; sister, Hazel Holcomb of NJ, brother Charles Corbin of Kensington, MD, sister Marie Vance of Elkridge, MD, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held on Friday, January, 21, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Homes, 2925 Fifth St., Sachse, TX 75048. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society on Anna's MOSAIC page found http://main.acsevents.org/goto/AnnaHenderson
