Ann Bruce Davis Woolwine was born February 21, 1935, in Charleston, West Virginia and passed away peacefully in her home on June 29, 2024. She married William Lee Woolwine, "Wooly", in 1953. Together they were blessed with three children. In 1972, they moved to Garland, Texas. They were married until his passing in 1992.
Ann was the heart of her family and will forever be remembered for her love for the Lord, her servant's heart, kind smile, welcoming ways, strength, generosity, being a loyal friend and her contagious laugh.
Her life was enriched by her Gloria Dei Lutheran church family for over forty years, tending to her garden, cooking delicious meals and treats to share, traveling to new and favorite places, caring for many pets throughout the years and mostly spending time with her family and many friends.
Ann's greatest joy in life were her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She is survived by her son, Bill Woolwine (wife Shelly), daughter Kim Hickman (husband Mark) and daughter Kelly Woolwine, grandchildren who lovingly call her "Mam", Kristin Penny (husband Zach), Alyssa Rohn (husband Shawn), LeeAnn Bothun (husband Grant), Matt Hickman (wife Angela), great grandchildren Hudson, Reid, Hayden, Schuyler, Tristan, Grayson, Vivian, Marissa, Cade, Tommy, Joshua, Great great grandchildren Elijah and Luke, nieces Tandy and Jennifer, great niece Courtney, great nephew Tyler and their families, brother-in-law Tom Woolwine and family in addition to numerous friends.
Beloved by everyone that met her, Ann will be sincerely missed by her loving family and devoted friends. A memorial to celebrate her life will be held on July 28th at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church officiated by Pastor Tom Schwolert.
