Anita L. Morris James, age 58, passed away May 26, 2021 in Dallas, Texas. She was a loving mother and grandmother, a great "Nita Nita" (aunt), the most special sister, and the love of her husband's life.
She spent her childhood in Greenville, TX, moved to the DFW metroplex as a young girl and lived the rest of her life in Garland, TX. At the age of 18 she started working at 3M and worked there for over 20 years as the shipping and receiving manager until the company moved north, but being the Texan that she was, there was no leaving the Lone Star State.
As a child Anita spent many summers at the beach with her grandparents and developed a love for collecting seashells. She was a devoted Texas Rangers fan and could read a Stephen King novel in one sitting. She had the best heart and will be missed by everyone who knew her, especially if you were lucky enough to be called a friend.
She is survived by her husband Robert "Bobby" James, daughters Anna Nichol and Andrea Morris, granddaughter Vivian Pope, sister Tracey Monjure and brother-in-law Tim Monjure, nephew Tyler Monjure, all of Dallas, and by her father Meredith Mack. She is preceded in death by her mother Patricia Whitley Cothard and her grandmother Angelina Gwaltney.
A Memorial Service will be 2 P.M. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Eastgate Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to The Multiple Systems Atrophy Coalition.
