Angelica Martinez Venegas

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Angelica Martinez Venegas, 59, of Dallas, Texas. Angelica was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, cherished sister, and dear friend to many. She was also a beloved aunt, deeply loved by her many nieces and nephews. Angelica had a rare gift for bringing joy, laughter, peace, and love to everyone around her, and her presence will be profoundly missed.

She is survived by her beloved children: Bianca Venegas and Pedro Duarte, Bryanna and David Ludwick, and Gabie Venegas. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Phiso and Roze Duarte-Venegas. She also leaves behind her siblings: Theresa Morgan (William), Robert Martinez (Jeanne), Angel Martinez (Claudia), Tonie Romero (Ernest), Elizabeth Hutchinson (Charles), and Jose Martinez, along with numerous nieces and nephews who adored her.

Angelica was preceded in death by her father, Angel M. Martinez.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate her life will be held at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, located at 601 S. Tennessee St., McKinney, TX 75069, on March 7th at 12:00 PM. Family friend, Pastor Jacqueline Sullivan will officiate the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Angelica’s memory to one of the following organizations, which were dear to her heart:

 Samuel Allen Pampel Foundation – Assisting patients with bills, utilities, funeral costs, and support Camp iHope.

 Heroes for Children – Established by two of the patients at her clinic, continuing to support families in need.

 Make-A-Wish – Helping grant wishes to children facing critical illnesses.

Angelica’s love, warmth, and selflessness will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she may no longer be with us, the joy and kindness she shared will continue to shine in the lives she touched.
