Angel Barba passed away on January 20, 2020. He was an incredible husband to his wife Jackie and father to his 8 children: Andrew, Amanda, Anna, Aidan, Amaris, Aaron, Ariel, and Adam. He believed and raised his children showing them that the best could be achieved with hard work and dedication as seen with his nearly 15 years of service to the City of Sachse. He was a man of many skills, from doing his own car repairs, carpentry, and electrical repairs. Angel could fix anything. As an immigrant from Mexico, he taught his children that anything was possible as long as you worked hard, loved freedom, and never forgot your heritage. He always sought to instill these values through his actions rather than his words.
Angel was a man of action and service who loved God, as this was seen through the years he served as a Children's Ministry Director at Calvary Chapel Plano. He held that position for nearly 7 years while raising his own children. He always strove for the children to feel and see the love of God through events and other festivities.
Angel loved camping, fishing, and grilling. He loved going to state parks and national parks and always brought his children to experience and appreciate nature. He taught his older children how to hike, set up a tent, and start a fire. He was also a 49er's fan and raised a whole family of 49er's fans. Angel leaves this earth loved by many from his work, his siblings, his children, his friends, and the many others touched by his life.
His service is Sunday, January 26, at 2:00pm, in the Charles W. Smith and Sons Chapel in Sachse, TX.
