Aneva Louise Lemons, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 20, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on August 10, 1952, in Sherman, Texas, she was the daughter of Aubrey and Elfrieda Parker.
Aneva was a creative spirit whose passion for the arts shone throughout her life. A talented pianist, she participated in competitions and sang in her high school choir, often performing in quartets. Her father, recognizing her gift, even took out an insurance policy on her hands. In her early adulthood, she wrote music that graced local radio stations in Louisiana, sharing her talent and love for music with the community.
Beyond music, Aneva had a knack for painting, sewing, and a wide array of crafts, always creating beautiful things that brought joy to those around her. She was known for her mischievous sense of humor, lighting up the room with her jokes and antics. Aneva loved to sneak up on people, act goofy in public to embarrass her children, and be silly to keep the young ones entertained. Her playful spirit and infectious laughter brought happiness to everyone she met.
A devoted mother of four and a proud grandmother of six, she was a nurturing presence in her family’s life. Aneva was a dedicated foster parent and often opened her home to her children’s friends and family, always putting others first. She was the beloved room mother at her children’s classes and rarely missed a sporting event.
Aneva’s compassion extended beyond her family. As an activity director at an assisted living home, she brought joy to the elderly community, treating her patients like family. In 2001, she transitioned to nursing, focusing primarily on geriatrics and pediatrics, where her dedication to care left a lasting impact on many lives.
she is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Elfrieda Parker; her oldest daughter, Allison Kennedy; her brother, Nedro Parker; and her oldest son, Jason Craven.
Aneva is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, Kevin Lemons; her sister, Vera Ann Stewart; her daughter, Ferran Campbell and her husband, Jacob; her son, Cameron Lemons; granddaughters Morgan Matthews and her husband, Michael, Ryleigh Craven, and Olivia Campbell; grandsons Conner Holman, Caleb Campbell, and Ezra Campbell; and her honorary son, Kody Byler.
Aneva’s legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
