Andrew Sanchez

Andrew Sanchez Jr., of Melissa, Texas, passed away at his home on Saturday September 9, 2017. He was born in McKinney, Texas on March 3, 1932 to Andrew Sr. and Gregoria (Hernandez) Sanchez.Andrew married the love of his life, Ofelia Garza, on May 16, 1953, at St. Michael the Archangel in McKinney, Texas where they have continued to be members. Andrew then served as a Corporal in the United States Army from 1953-1955. He then worked in construction as a supervisor for 25 years while helping raise a family with Ofelia. Andrew was a member of the VFW and American Legion.Andrew is survived by his wife Ofelia, son Andrew, daughter Rachael, son Willie, daughter Sylvia, son Chris, daughter Irene, and daughter Rita. He is also survived by five generations of grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, and his brothers and sisters.Pallbearers for the service will be: Marcus Armijo, Willie Sanchez, Heather Sanchez, Davy Sanchez, Danny Joe Gilmore, and Michael Sanchez.Flower tributes may be delivered to Charles W.
