Amelda Kathryn Bueltel

BUELTEL, AMELDA (AMY) KATHRYN DOLPHIN. Longtime resident of Mesquite died June 2, 2017 at her home. Born January 26, 1936, she was reared in Dubuque, IA. Amy married Mel in 1957, lived, raised her family and worked in the Dallas area for 61 years. Amy was preceded in death by her husband Mel and son Jeffrey. Amy is survived by her children Greg, his wife, Susan; Susan Bueltel and her husband, Gary Peterson and Nancy Bueltel. Other surviving family members include her grandchildren, Amy Bueltel Jackson, Eric Bueltel and his wife Kasey, Alexis Peterson and her husband Nate Dibbern, James Peterson, and Sean and Natalie Brown. Great grandchildren include Quaid, Ainsley, and Aland Jackson, Weston and Brenna Bueltel. Other family members include sisters Ann Trees, Patti Sullivan, and Charlene Peryon, and brother, Terry Dolphin, as well as many nieces and nephews. Amy was an early member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. She was employed as an executive secretary by Varo Incorporated retiring in 2006. Private interment will be in the columbarium at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmer’s Branch, TX. The family extends their thanks to Dr. Lance Cowey, Dr. Scott Cheek, Dr. Victor Horadam and the staff of Texas Oncology for the years of excellent care provided our mother. We would also like to thank the staff of Acappella In Home Care, and finally, Encompass Hospice for the compassionate care provided to our mother through the end of her life. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
