Amanda Kay Willoughby, age 27, of Wylie, Texas, died Sunday, October 3, 2021, as a result of an automobile accident near Nevada, Texas.
Amanda was born March 5, 1994 to parents Pedro and Kathy Gonzalez of Plano, Texas where she grew up and attended public school. As a child, she was involved in equestrian competitions and loved animals of all kinds. She turned that love into a career at Banfield Pet Hospital in Wylie, Texas where she worked as a veterinary technician assisting doctors with surgeries.
Amanda is survived by husband Austin Willoughby, daughters Riley, Laura, and Charlotte, her parents Pedro and Kathy, brother Cesar Gonzalez, father and mother-in-law John and Jennie Alianell of Caddo Mills, Texas, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will be missed terribly by her family, friends, and co-workers.
A visitation service will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 2925 5th St., Sachse, Tx 75048. A memorial service will be held at a time yet to be determined, at the Lone Star Cowboy Church in Nevada.
