Amanda Lea Ramsey

 Amanda Lea Ramsey, 52, of Murphy, TX, passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2023. Born on September 18, 1970, to Tom and Linda King, she was raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, with her sister Robin. Amanda graduated from Central High School in Little Rock in 1988. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Central Arkansas in 1992. Before graduation, she met Matthew Ramsey, and they married in June 1993 at the Villa Marre in Little Rock, Arkansas. After marriage, they resided in Dallas, Texas, where Amanda was a 3rd-grade teacher at Stephen F. Foster Elementary. Amanda was a woman of faith who loved the Lord Jesus, always striving to walk in a manner worthy of the gospel.   
Amanda was preceded in death by her father, Tom King. Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Matthew Ramsey, along with her three sons, John David, Jordan, and James, including her mother, Linda Fuller, and sister, Robin Mitchell; her daughter-in-law Vivian Ramsey and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Amanda’s memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 13, at 2 pm at Meadows Baptist Church in Plano, TX, followed by a graveside service at Lake View Cemetery in Lavon, TX.
