Amanda Lauren Head

Amanda was born on July 23, 1985 in Plano, TX to David Head and Dianne Martin. She gained her wings on November 23, 2020 in McKinney, TX.

Amanda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jackie & James A. Martin, James Head, Mary Wooldridge , and Reta & Dean Schlesinger.

She is survived by her three children Angela Marie, Amy Lee, and Aiden Tyler. Her boyfriend Jason Skinner of Princeton, TX. Her parents Susan and David Head of Plano, TX and Dianne Martin of Allen, TX, Bryan McMellon of Florida, sisters Jacque (Joey) Rhodes of Allen TX, Kim Wood of Mt. Pleasant, TX, brother Matt Wood of Burleson, TX. Grandmother Helen Head of Allen, TX. Her three nephews Dakota Wood, Cameron Kirby, and River Wood and three nieces Natalie Kirby, Harley Rhodes, and Paris Rhodes. Also, many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her very much.

Amanda graduated from Allen High School in 2004. She was a free spirit who lived by her own set of rules. Her sarcasm was very strong, and she loved to get a good laugh out of you. She was one of a kind, unique, independent, strong willed woman. She enjoyed family time spent at the lake when she was younger and getting together with her family during the holidays. She may have been small, but she could put away some food. Most importantly she loved her kids very much. She was very proud of them with all their accomplishments and did not pass up a moment to brag about them.

There will be a graveside service held on December 1, 2020 at 2:30pm at Wilson Chapel Cemetery – 100 Chapel Ln. McKinney, TX 75069.
