Alice Mosser Sebastian

Born October 23, 1916 in Charlotte, North Caroline to Cora Glenn Little and Henry C. Little and passed away on May 28, 2013, in Garland, Tecxas. Preceded in death by parents, 2 brothers and 4 sisters, husbands, Jacob L. Mosser and B.F. Sebastian. She is survived by sons, Jacob L. Mosser III and his wife, Carolyn and William Michael Mosser. Grandchildren, Aaron Mosser, Alison Coe and her husband, Paul Coe, and Chandler Mosser. Great-Grandchildren Brittany and Brady Coe.
On May 26, 1942, she married Jacob Mosser in Charlotte. Through his job, they were transferred to Dallas in 1950 and settled in Garland. They joined the First United Methodist Church in Garland, where she is a member. During this time, she worked in the insurance business, was active in her sons atheletics and school activities, werving on several related auxiliary and PTA committies. She also participated in many church functions and committies including singing in the choir, which she dearly loved.
With the passing of Jake in 1981, she wanted to give of herself to helping others. She became a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at baylor of Garland Hospital. She volunteered to take on many task asked of her which included working in the recored department, Emergency Room, new born baby care, and in the gift shop. She used her great talent of knitting and sewing to provide hand-made items for the auxiliary to sell in their annual fund raisers for the Hospital. In all, she gave over 11,000 hours of her time in helping the hospital and its patients.
Through a mutual friend, she met B.F. Sebastian and they were married June 2, 1990. When B.F. passed in 1991, she continued her volunteer work at the hospital.
MeMaw loved to cook, sew, knit and play bridge with her many friends. She was loved by everyone who came in contact with her and was a giver of her time and energy to help when called on.
The family would like to thank the staff at Abba Care Assisted Living for making her feel right at home, the past 3 years and Esteem Hospice and their staff that provided the love, comfort and care during the last few months.
A Memorial Service will be held at First United Methodist Church, Garland, TX. on May 31, 2013 at 1:00 P.M.
