Alfred Jesse always enjoyed working outdoors. He maintained a vegetable garden, a flower garden and a rock garden. He also managed the ranch in Eden, Texas. He was a man blessed with many talents, including welding. He designed gates for west Texas and Christmas yard decorations.
Al was very active at Bethel Lutheran Church in Dallas where he enjoyed hearing God's Word and praying with Pastor Randy Haedge before the Sunday services.

A favorite scripture verse of Al's:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth on Him,
shall not perish but have everlasting life."
John 3:16
