Alex Marlen Whennen of Caddo Mills, TX, age 17 passed away Sunday July 8th, 2018. He was born April 3, 2001 in Rowlett, TX. The beloved son of Clifford Marlen and Ronnie Lee (Lichtenfels) Whennen Jr and brother to Tyler Scott Whennen.
Alex was a student of Caddo Mills High School and was loved by many. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his friends and working at Little Caesars Pizza in Greenville, Tx.
Alex's grandparents are Richard Dale & Jacqueline Susanne (Yeager) Lichtenfels Jr. and the late Clifford Marland Whennen Sr, Juanita June (Skinner) Whennen Carnahan and the late Leslie Junior Carnahan.
Survived by family Tracy Lichtenfels (Adrian) Anderson and their son Mason. Lia Lichtenfels (Adam) Allberg and their sons Quinton and Isaac. Carl (Beth) Whennen and their children Alisha Whennen (Richard) Zwer, Carl Whennen and Kristoffer (Alyssa) Whennen. Sheryl Whennen Thomas / Mike Dudley and her daughter Bobbi-Jo Thomas. Charlotte Whennen (Corey) McDougall and their children Christy Thudium, Lorrie Thudium, Kimberly Summers, Olivia McDougall and Patrick McDougall. Catrina Whennen (John Jr.) Sims and their children Lauren Sims (Ryan) Reames and John Sims III. Marty Carnahan (Chip) Finch and their children Bailey Finch and Morgan Finch. Lisa Carnahan and her children Ashley Lathrop and Emily Lathrop. Justin (Leslie) Carnahan and their children Ariel Carnahan, Jalen Carnahan, Addison Carnahan, Liam Carnahan and Ethan Carnahan. And numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Viewing will be Thursday July 12th from 6 to 8 pm and Service will be on Friday July 13th 10 am at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Homes in Sachse, Tx. Burial following at Lake View Cemetery, Lavon TX.
In honor of Alex we request casual dress and boots if you have them.
