Abigail Emmalyn Bailey

Abigail Emmalyn Bailey was born June 19,2013 in Plano, Texas. 

From the moment she came into this world, she let it be known that she was a force to be reckoned with.  Born with a severe and inoperable heart condition, along with a myriad of other health issues, doctors believed she wouldn’t make it long. She went on to prove them wrong for 10 years.

Anyone that met Abigail would instantly be enthralled by her happy and playful disposition. If you were lucky enough, she would even bite or pinch you to let you know she liked you. She, of course, saved the hair pulling and scratching for her family. 

Abigail’s favorite thing to do was find her Abo while he slept and would proceed to sit on him just to pinch or scratch him. When she couldn’t do that, you could find her playing in the water or watching her favorite movies and snacking. Her attitude was bigger than her, she had impeccable timing with her giggles and despite the fact that she didn’t say a single word, she let everyone know exactly what she wanted or needed.

Abigail’s heart stopped Saturday July 22, 2023, after several attempts, paramedics were able to bring her back and was put on life support. She gave her family enough time to say goodbye before passing away July 23, 2023 at 1:27 am. We can all take comfort in the fact that she did not suffer the day she left us. Her little heart held on long enough to bring sunshine and share her smile with so many people. She lives on through her family and friends who loved and cherished every moment they had with her. 

Viewing will be held 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday July 29, 2023 at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home 601 S. Tennessee St. McKinney, Texas 75069.

A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home of McKinney, Texas.
